Every MRI scanner has what is called “field strength.” Field strength is the power of the scanner’s magnet. With higher field strengths, your scan pictures are clearer and show smaller details of your body. CDI offers a range of MR field strengths, including 1.5T and 3T high-field, short scanners, as well as 0.7T Open scanners, .6T Open Upright and .2-.35T Open scanners.

Because of its superior quality, high-field MRI should be your first choice whenever possible.
Open scanners can be a good alternative for severely claustrophobic or large patients, however more detailed can be captured through a scanner with a higher field strength.
